This position in Global Finance - Accounting Policy supports and advices on international accounting standards (IFRS) to the subsidiaries in which the Group operates, as well as monitoring and execution of controls relating to the Group's financial consolidation process.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting analysis and process related to IFRS:
- Analysis and review of the accounting treatment of contracts under IFRS.
- Participate in the process of implementing new IFRS accounting standards in the Group.
- Update the Group Accounting Policy Manual (under IFRS), and provide support to subsidiaries on its practical application
- Interact with TAX and M&A team for the accounting analysis of complex corporate transactions.
- Analysis and evaluation of consolidated financial information, on a monthly basis..
- Participate in the preparation of documents for the Group’s governing bodies (Board of Directors and Audit and Risk Management Committee).
- Support for the disclosures required by the standard for the financial statements (half-yearly and annual).
- Collaborate in the calculation of Purchase Price Allocations (“PPA”) and the assessment of the impairment of assets.
- Monitor the IFRS 16 reported at each month end reporting period for all Global entities.
- Monitoring the IFRS16 lease term and discount rate calculation for the monthly accounting close. Coordinate with the Group's external auditors in relation to the financial audit of the IFRS 16 of the Group.
Organization, procedures and manuals:
- Maintain and review the reports used for IFRS 16 management
- Participate in the automation of accounting processes.
- Update Corporate manuals for Site Management users relating to the operation and reporting in SAP RE of the IFRS 16 module. Definition, together with Management Control area, of a calendar for the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closing, indicating the activities related to IFRS 16 corresponding to each month end compliance dates and those responsible.
- Interact with the assigned IT provider for the IFRS 16 module maintenance functionality in SAP RE.
- Coordination with, Global IT, external consultants, Global Site Management and Integrations Dept to ensure timely and efficient implementation of all IFRS 16 aspects in the timeframe stipulated in the accounting standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Academic Profile:
- Education: Bachelor of Business Administration, Economics or similar.
Languages:
- English -> Must-have -> Advanced

- Italian -> Valuable -> Intermediate
- German -> Valuable -> Intermediate
- French -> Valuable -> Intermediate
Software Tools:
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) -> Must-have -> Advanced
- SAP- RE -> Valuable -> Intermediate
- SAP-FI -> Valuable -> Intermediate
Relevant Experience:
- At least 3-4 years of experience in audit (Big Four) or Capital Markets.
- High level of experience in IFRS (International Accounting Standards) and PGC
- Critical experience: Knowledge of the current market, technologies, trends in the wireless telecommunications infrastructures markets.
- Valuable experience in International Environment.
