Planning Americas Manufacturing is focused on Increasing Delivery Service while reducing Excess Inventory Exposure without creating Excessive Cost. Consist in three main areas Finished Goods & Production Planning, Materials Planning and Import-Export.”
This position exists to guarantee the availability of materials to perform the Production plan. The Materials Planner is a key contributor to ensure right level of compliance between several indicators related to inventory management, Supplier performance and delivery accomplishment providing inputs to the continuous improvement in Planning processes.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure material delivery according to the latest Production Plan.
- Perform proper actions to adjust material delivery schedule according to Production Plan changes.
- Execute actions to support the optimal inventory and safety stock levels ensuring production coverage & minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Implement continuous improvement activities to develop efficiencies, cost optimization and agility in planning processes, materials transportation, inventory utilization and work to Suppliers´management.
- Identify potential risks and trigger actions based on level of impact and probability.
- Implement daily activities with agility, efficiency and with quality based on workflow.
- Digital skills (Power BI) Lead and develop visual and interactive insight for analyze from own area of responsibility.
EHS Related
- Take responsibility for the appropriate integration and / or implementation of the QEHS System in the operational processes of your area and ensure its effectiveness.
- Assign the necessary resources for the management of the QEHS system in the area.
- Provide support, participate proactively and demonstrate leadership on QEHS in your area.
- Comply with the QEHS legal requirements, standards (External / internal) and others applicable to your area.
Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar in the field of Supply Chain and manufacturing.
- 2 to 5 years of similar positions experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the following areas Materials and Inventory Management and basic on Supply chain.
Hard Skills
- MS Office apps (Excel at intermediate-advanced level mainly)
- Continuous Improvement Tools and methodologies applied in day-to-day business activities (Process Mapping, PDCA, System Map, Strategy Deployment, solving problem tools, etc.).
- Decision Making assess situation, search for alternatives, and reach the best outcome in the best time with right application of tools to visualize analysis and selection of resolution.
- Risk Management analytical risk assessment tools management to set contingency actions towards achieving tasks or avoiding impacts.
- Data analysis & interpretation Microsoft Office (Excel) apps in general.
- Digital skills (Power BI) Create dashboards, KPI´s, interactive visuals and management workspaces, develop data integration processes to extract, transform, load data and data analysis expressions, Interpret risks & opportunities through insight to make faster and better decisions.
- English fluent Level.
