Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Procurement Global Category Manager
Within this scope, the global category manager will manage a global subcategory and the entire end-to-end sourcing process.
You must deliver on strategic projects to effectively deliver high performance,
efficiencies, and customer satisfaction for Schneider Electric stakeholders in support of their business needs.
What will you do?
You will report to the Global Category Leader in the Global Procurement Marketing team. You will be part of a global procurement community (team members in North America, Europe, and Asia) and interact with stakeholders/suppliers worldwide.
Strategic Sourcing:
- Anticipate, collect, understand, and help to formalize the business requirements with various stakeholders in all BU organizations for your identified families.
- Assess the vendors market to determine the best options and sources of supply for Schneider
- Lead RFPs, negotiation, supplier selection in close collaboration with stakeholders to meet their business needs
- Lead contract negotiation, approval, and signature for large-scale, enterprise-wide global agreements in alignment with Group legal and compliance requirements and policies
- Demonstrates project management expertise to carry strategic sourcing projects from strategic planning through implementation.
Sub- Category management and Supplier relationship management:
- Analyze and optimize a portfolio of vendors
- Be accountable for delivering productivity/savings in his / her scope, based on strong collaboration with stakeholders (functional management)
- Proactively manage his/her supplier panel, evaluate performance, risk, and innovation in alignment with the category strategy
- Prepare and lead Business Reviews with strategic suppliers Drive adoption to a global pool of recommended vendors established internationally for marketing.
- Support and drive change within all parties involved to ensure most business needs are met within the Program
Stakeholders’ management
- Ensure stakeholder's management & satisfaction
- Increase the value of the function on the identified scope
What qualifications will make you successful?
- >5 years of relevant experience in sourcing services in a global environment
- Marketing knowledge
- Excellent sourcing & negotiation skills (contractual and commercial negotiation, supplier management, should-cost analysis, sourcing methods & tools)
- Good understanding and experience in legal aspects associated with Professional services (Intellectual property, Personal data, cybersecurity, DPA etc.)
- Ability to influence & convince, Networking skills
- Subject matter expertise on Professional services market trends
- Communication& collaboration
- Result-oriented, dynamic, self-driven, team player
- Ability to use e-sourcing and data analytics tools
- Data-driven, leveraging data analytics, data visualization, and data presentation for strategic analysis of category/spend portfolio and supplier panel.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal): Mandatory
- Strategic sourcing experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
