What You Will Be Doing
The aim of the New Revenue Streams and Partnerships is to expand our addressable market. We accelerate the creation and growth of new business lines and customer propositions that solve real-world problems, leveraging the power of our products, users, and assets to redefine what a bank can do and to champion what is next by bringing outside in perspective and experimental approach.
The team will bring disruptive mindset but maintaining the distribution capability, customer base and capabilities of the bigger Santander. We will replicate a start-up mentality with a multi-disciplinary team, combining banking, agile, testing, UX/UI product & prototype design, product development & customer success management, technology, and investment experience. Integration and collaboration with the rest of the bank, countries and global divisions will be a constant and fundamental in the way we operate.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Strategy Definition: developing a clear vision on openmarket and its role in meeting business objectives and compliance obligations, identify the right embedded finance strategy, partnership model and go-to-market approach.
- Internal awareness: Process and communication mechanisms to evangelize and collaborate around Openmarket and Embedded finance opportunities in the bank.
- Business planning: Developing business plans and financial models, setting, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and make data-driven decisions. Create a comprehensive plan outlining the goals, objectives, strategies, and financial projections for every new venture in this stage and quarterly business review the evolution of the portfolio to reinforce, pivot or stop. Also, assure your P&L is properly integrated and monitored in the common bank processes with CdG. Exponential growth expected as a whole and individually.
- Product development, execute iteratively: leading the development and launch of the new initiative’s portfolio.
- Partnerships: developing and managing relationships with partner organizations to integrate banking services into their products or platforms. Negotiating agreements and contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Networking: Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders (business, products and channels managers, risk, T&O, …), advisors, and other industry professionals to leverage their knowledge, experience, and connections.
- Assuring risk management and control follow Santander standards: You will need to create a collaborative framework with control areas to adapt bank standards and extend procedures to suit these new activities. A proper governance with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Aquanima,Control teams… is expected per new business.
What are we looking for?
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Engineering. MBA is a plus.
Experience
- 10 years of experience in banking, financial products, consumer finance, or new business creation.
- Experience with embedded banking products within a fintech- or financial services environment domain. Launched and scaled products in the Banking as a Service space with quantifiable value.
- Experience in fictech environment.
- Experience in consumer finance.
- Experience in credit risk.
- Familiar with the latest trends in the Banking as a Services space.
- Experience of engagement with senior management (e.g., C-Level) both internal and external. Track record of presenting to executive level, and Board level audiences, expert in written and verbal communication – reaching and captivating people at all levels.
- Track record of strategic project management, tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects.
- Exposure to innovation related implementations or demonstrable knowledge of the latest industry trends and technologies (api’s, cloud, agile, …).
