Job Description:
In Ferrovial we are always looking for high-skilled professionals. At this stage, we are looking for an IT Procurement & Vendor Management Manager with a proven track record managing the IT procurement and vendor management lifecycle, from demand management, negotiation of agreements (commercial and legal) to order issuance and invoice management, as well as management of strategic/non-strategic relationships with IT suppliers, and understanding of end to end procurement processes, with high teamwork skills, and outstanding influencing skills.
The IT Procurement & Vendor Management Manager will join the Procurement and Vendor Management team within Digital Transformation & CIIO Office, with a key objective of maximizing the value of IT Procurement management and Vendor relationships and being responsible to develop contract and vendor management capabilities on the top of Procurement function to accelerate the execution of Ferrovial’s transformation. This position will also play a key role to identify and implement ways to optimize and transform the procurement process, as an enabler to develop strategic capabilities.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of IT Vendor Management and Procurement, your responsibilities will be:
- Strategic Sourcing:
- Drive effective sourcing strategies for categories in the scope.
- Vendor Management:
- Continuous and proactive assessment for supply base segmentation and rationalization, so that appropriate focus can be applied to the most strategically important vendor relationships/engagements.
- Monitor and support key strategic vendor relationships and performance
- Develop and maintain the e2e relationship with DGSII partners and strategic vendor in the scope.
- Continuous performance follow up and evolution of the main contracts, as an input for vendor management and sourcing strategy definition, and aiming to get the most value from contracts and mitigate and anticipate potential risks.
- Planning and proactive management of the main contracts, with the aim of anticipate and minimize risks, identify opportunities and define the most adequate sourcing strategies.
- IT Purchasing to Pay lifecycle:
- Demand management: Work closely with stakeholders (IT, legal, finance, business units) to lead sourcing and negotiation initiatives, understand requirements and align sourcing activities with Ferrovial objectives
- Contract management and negotiations: Lead the negotiation strategy for IT contracts in the scope: identifying needs, preparation of contracts and adaptation to IT typologies, coordination with GDPR, Security and Legal departments when required, coordination and communication with supplier, support to T&Cs negotiation, management of authorizations and special approvals, signature management, document management…
- Procurement process formalization: set up purchase orders, including documentation and SOX evidences management, eventual invoices management and payment support.
- Cost Optimization:
- Identify cost-optimization opportunities through effective negotiation strategies, volume consolidation and vendor management.
- Market Analysis and Research:
- Continuous monitoring of market and industry trends, emerging technologies and capabilities, identifying new opportunities for innovation and efficiency, and as an input for strategic vendor management and sourcing strategy.
- Procurement Process, Metrics and Tools:
- Continuous identification of opportunities for procurement process optimization and evolution with the aim of increasing process digitalization and automation to enable focus on value added and more strategic activities.
- Proactive and continuous monitoring of AI capabilities and its application on Procurement and Vendor Management use cases to identify potential ways to make the process more efficient.
- Maintain and enhance Vendor Management and Procurement tools: SAP, SAP Ariba, Adobe Sign, including Power BI reporting
- Identify, define and continuous follow up of Procurement and Vendor Management metrics and KPIs for monitoring activity and continuous improvement.
- Budget management
- Monitor its own budget lines, as well as define following years’ budget
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Administration preferred)
- At least 7-10-years’ experience managing IT lifecycle, contracts and vendors in procurement and/or vendor management areas in large companies, with additional expertise in managing legal aspects.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of IT market and vendor dynamics, emerging technologies, and vendor landscape
- Experience in negotiating with IT big vendors
- Essential high level English.
- Very good handling of MS Office. SAP and SAP Ariba desirable

- Strong stakeholder management skills; including making technical information simple, accessible and insightful for technology and non-technology decision makers.
- Capable of developing strong, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong influencing and decision-making skills, showing clear leadership when it comes to driving out the definition of a problem and its solution.
- Effective change agent, working with stakeholders in the IT and business teams to drive changes to how the organization sources, procures and manages technology
- Ability to smartly navigate organizations
- Cultural awareness and experience of working in international teams.
