We work across the entire water cycle, with utilities, local and regional governments, commercial and domestic water users and other partners. From designing and maintaining key water infrastructure to advising on natural catchments and flood defences, we help clients to consider the long-term economic, environmental and social dimensions of their proposals.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to be part of the Civil Engineering team in the Madrid office where you will be supporting local and international clients in managing water and water risk and working with multi-disciplinary teams across the globe.
As a Senior Water Engineer At Arup, You Will
- Participate in civil and water engineering projects, focusing on the calculation and design of urban developments and water supply and sanitation systems.
- Be involved in the p roject and team management .
- Prepar e budgets and resource estimates .
- Coordin ate with counterpart teams in the UK and European offices .

We Are Looking For Someone Proactive And Dynamic That Wants To Further Develop Their Career In The Water Business Area. Ideally, You’ll Bring
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Works Engineering, or Industrial Engineering (Hydraulics) .
- At least 6 years of experience in the design and calculation of urban development and water supply/sanitation systems .
- Experience in water/hydraulic consultancy or advisory projects .
- Very high level of English and Spanish C1–C2
- Experience working in a BIM environment .
- Proficiency use of Civil 3D/OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, InfoWorks/SewerGEMS, HEC-RAS .
Bonus Points If You Have
- Knowledge of Presto and GIS
