Job Description Summary
GE HealthCare is looking for a Hospital Technology Planner with a strong engineering mindset to help design and implement advanced medical environments. In this role, you’ll work under the guidance of the Healthcare Technology Planning Manager and collaborate with Local Customer Teams (LCTs) to engage with clinical stakeholders, applying your technical expertise to bridge clinical needs with engineering solutions. You’ll be responsible for developing detailed medical equipment plans for high-tech hospital departments, advising clients on current and emerging technologies, and supporting the Project Sales team in delivering integrated, technically sound equipping strategies. You’ll also work closely with the Design team to create departmental layouts, equipment loading schemes, and MEP specifications, ensuring all technical requirements are met for seamless project execution. Job Description
- Contribute to the LCT’s commercial success with our packager solutions offerings to optimize the use of GE Healthcare products establishing GEHC as the “Preferred Partner” at early stage of the project.
- At early design stages, in collaboration with HTP team analyze the customer needs, design medical equipping plans (equipment selections, department by department, room by room, BoQ, Specs) using the GEHC hospital technology planning tools. Those solutions shall consist of GE and non-GE equipment to provide a comprehensive solution
- In conjunction with the Design team, validate the architectural designs by providing a Drawing assessment in accordance with drawing assessment checklist on the architectural layout provided by the customer’s architect. As needed coordinate the elevation of key room/ departments to 3D, to better enable client understanding.
- Provide Room by Room MEP requirements, Room by Room Datasheets, Generic Specifications & other healthcare planning and advisory services (depending on customers needs)
- Assist the DAL in the Design of medical equipment advisory plans, when required, for the departments where several GE Healthcare equipments can be found. These shall typically be the Diagnostic Imaging Dept., ICI, CCU, NICU, Emergency, Operating Theaters, Customized solutions (depending on customers needs)
- In conjunction with Senior HTP Act as a conduit for subject matter expertise on clinical, technology planning and design advisory issues.
- At all times comply with the HTP Playbook. Report on activity/ utilisation as required
- Provide continuous feedback and improvement on the required tools and processes used for planning and designing medical equipment plans
- Assist in assessment of medical equipment plans in accordance with design assessment checklist
- Assist in the definition of the non GEHC equipment within turnkey equipping solutions
- Assist DAL on the best healthcare facility layout & workflow optimization for technology rich areas
Qualifications And Experience
- Strong working experience with or in Hospitals/Planning/Operations/Tech/IT
- Biomedical or engineering degree or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience with Windows-based planning software
- Deep Understanding of Healthcare IT, PACS/RIS/DICOM and connectivity
- Excellent Communication skills up to client C Suite level
- Presentation skills / Team player/ Multi-tasking skills
- Autocad Capabilities (Intermediate)
- Microsoft Project (Intermediate)
- Attainia Hospital Planning Software (Proficient)
- REVIT 3D BIM software (Basic-Developing)
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Additional languages - significantly advantageous
