In this role you will support the sales organization in achieving its goals by providing expertise, guidance, and support in areas such as process optimization, commercial coverage, sales and market insights, and analytics. In addition, the Sales Excellence Manager will lead & execute the proposal coordination team.
What will you do?
Sales Excellence & Enablement:
- Collaborate with sales leaders to understand their business needs and provide recommendations for improvement
- Work with sales teams to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies
- Provide proactive prescriptive surveillance of the business, including monitoring of strategic priorities
- Lead resource planning, segmentation, and coverage activities
- Support sales teams in the use of technology and tools to improve their productivity and effectiveness
- Partner with other departments such as marketing, product management, and customer support to ensure that sales teams have the resources and support they need to succeed
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sales to continually improve the sales organization's performance
- Identify gaps in sales enablement in order to analyze & drive new ways of working (i.e. utilization of internal tools)
Proposal Coordination:
- Work with in-house staff and creative vendors to keep proposals modern and engaging
- Explore proposal automation software and other technology solutions
- Communicate with stakeholders regularly to share updated resources and new ways of working while securing feedback and ensuring efforts are making the right impact
- Coach all team members to use persuasive writing and adopt proposal best practices
- Be intentional about international collaboration with an eye for ensuring cultural, regional, and regulatory differences are valued and are reflected in the end deliverable
About you
What qualifications will make you successful?
The ideal candidate for a Sales Excellence Manager role should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of sales processes and strategies. They should also have commercial experience, as well as a strong background in data analysis and market research.
Additional Essential Skills:
- 3-5 years' experience in a related proposal manager role
- Strong project management and prioritization skills
- Ability to provide high-quality work and drive multiple workstreams forward under tight deadlines
- Drive for continuous improvement
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Teams)
- Strong written English language skills, developing error-free and compelling work
- Strong creative writing skills, including the ability to explain complex topics in concise, interesting ways
- Strong sense of effective graphic design (though design skills are not directly required)
- Great attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adept at learning new systems and tools to assess feasibility and applicability to our solutions
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus, but not required
