Job Description:
The Digital Transformation&CIIO Office area is the transversal function within the Global IT&Innovation and responsible for enabling and accelerating of Digital Transformation Plan, covering Strategy, Communication, Transversal Programs Management, Portfolio, Change Management, Vendor Management&Procurement and Cost Control Management and Governance.
In Ferrovial we are always looking for high-skilled professionals. At this stage, in this area we are looking for Program Managers with multidisciplinary skills, technical background and strong experience in leading and managing IT
Transformation/Innovation Programs orchestrating multiple dimensions and stakeholders and requiring an strong alignment with the technical teams.
One of the key strategic programs in Ferrovial is the Artificial Intelligence Program with the objective of maximizing the value of AI/GenAI technologies requiring to coordinate multiple stakeholders across Ferrovial, and managing multiple dimensions from strategy&governance, communication, vendor ecosystem, cost/impact model and change management.
The Program Manager will coordinate all these dimensions, and will support the AI CoE, in the overall process from discovery to the escalation of opportunities, the Innovation team in the experimentation phase and the rest of the IT areas to maximize AI/Gen AI capabilities of our key technology vendor roadmap.
Additionally, he/she will be also responsible, in the scope of the Program, for the identification of those business opportunities where AI/Gen AI technologies are not finally required but other solution would apply, and channel them to the impacted area in order to contribute to the continuous improvement of Ferrovial’s processes.

Functions:
Reporting to Digital Transformation & CIIO Director, and in dotted line to the Head of AI CoE, you will:
- Strategy & Communication:
- Definition, jointly with the Head of AI CoE and Innovation, the Program’s Strategy, Operational Model and Roadmap ensuring alignment with the company's strategic plan and Digital Transformation Program 2024-2026 “Read IT”.
- Ensure a coherent and impactful communication of the strategy and progress of the program both internally and externally
- Portfolio Management
- Definition and orchestration of a Framework including the characterization of all initiatives related to AI/GenAI technologies and identify synergies/dependencies between them and other relevant strategic programs in place.
- Ensure alignment with Portfolio Strategy, Procedures and Value Impact Model, defining and tracking KPIs for the whole program and monthly report of the overall status of the Program to the Executive Portfolio Committee.
- Identification of complementary initiatives where AI/GenAI technologies may not be required for their orchestration through Portfolio mechanism with the required areas for implementation.
- Governance and Planning
- Definition of roles and responsibilities of the different areas involved in the Program, incorporating mainly businesses, AI CoE, Innovation or Data.
- Definition and implementation of a governance model with DGSII areas, business, and executive level
- Definition and tracking of overall Plan with all the initiatives of the Program , identifying dependencies, critical path, risks, bottlenecks and prioritization.
- Support the identification and escalation of AI/Gen AI opportunities
- Support the AI CoE in the overall process from discovery to industrialization of AI/GenAI use cases
- Support the Innovation team in the experimentation and discovery phase.
- Support the different IT areas in the exploitation of AI/Gen AI capabilities of our key technologies vendors roadmap.
- Economic Follow-up:
- Identification of the overall required resources of the program from every perspective (including transversal and monitoring of the program costs, identifying possible deviations, prioritization `technical and functional requirements,…aligned with the overall Budget Process.
- Elaboration, update and assurance of the Business Case aligned with the Portfolio Value Impact Model, and required Investment Proposals.
- Vendor Management & IT Procurement
- Contribute to the areas of expertise, supported by the Vendor Management area, the identification and implementation of the vendor ecosystem and sourcing strategy necessary for the execution of the Program.
- Maximize the exploitation of existing strategic agreements or identification of potential new partners for the program implementation.
- Digital Change Management and Adoption
- Lead, supported by the Digital Change Management, the adoption plan during the implementation phase of uses cases and initiatives aligned with the change management and adoption playbook.
- Support Innovation and AI COE areas on the identification of opportunities during the Experimentation and Discovery Phase with focus on awareness.
- Support Innovation and AI COE areas on the adoption of specific components of the program.
Requirements
- University degree: Higher Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications or similar)
- At least 10-years’ experience in managing Transformation/Innovation Programs
- Multidisciplinary management skills required: strategy, communications, cost control, vendor management, change management, …
- A proven track record of leading strategic initiatives managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Previous experience in leading transformation programs on fast-paced/dynamic environments/ecosystems.
- Technical background and knowledge on Data, AI/GenAI technologies and use cases.
- Familiarity with AI related disciplines such us Data Governance, Cloud platforms and data engineering.
- A broad understanding of the latest developments in technologies, industry specific issues, competitor and vendor activity and initiatives
- Ability to present technical materials effectively to diverse stakeholder groups and to engage effectively with executives on both technical and non-technical matters. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on translating business requirements into technology solutions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Essential very high level / bilingual English
