Qualifications
We are looking for: Supplier Management Engineer
In this position, you will be in charge of:
- Assess the production capacities of existing and potential suppliers to determine their ability to meet the organization’s requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize production capacities, scheduling, and sequencing to ensure efficient utilization of available capacity.
- Focus on regular activities during series production and in case of production or process changes, also describes the reactive management including countermeasures and escalation to safeguard series production for avoid bottleneck by deliveries.
- Conduct capacity assessment, define, implement and track corrective action at supplier. Escalate in case of supply issues.
- Identify capacity restriction, provide shortages KPI and implement action case by case.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through effective communication and collaboration.
- Always be in strict alignment with current local and international legislations, Sarbanes-Oxley Agreement (SOA), Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), as well as any policy or procedures established by Daimler Truck.
Training: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Specific knowledge:
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and production planning principles, including capacity assessment, MRP, optimization, and scheduling.
Experience: Automotive experience, at Daimler Truck is a plus. Proven experience in supplier capacity management, logistics, or related roles within the automotive industry. At least 3 years in listed areas or positions. Manufacturing process experience.
Language: English Colloquial Language.
Working model: On-site
Range salary: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00 monthly
