About The Role
As a Tequila Development Representative focusing on tequila brands, with a primary emphasis on Don Julio, you will serve as a pivotal figure in the sales, education, and activation of our premium tequila portfolio within the On-Trade sector. This role is designed to blend sales responsibilities with brand education and activation initiatives, ensuring our brands achieve optimal exposure, engagement, and market penetration. In this role, you'll be responsible for:
Identification And Segmentation Of Outlet Universe
- Identify and categorize outlets within the assigned territory, focusing on cocktail bars, bars, nightclubs, hotels, and restaurants.
- Assign outlets to relevant outlet category based on segmentation guidelines and record them through the CRM tool.
- Visit outlets in the assigned territory based on call frequency established for the relevant outlet category.
Distribution And Activation Strategy
- Identify activation opportunities with outlets in the assigned territory to increase Rate of Sale (farming)
- Working closely with the Account Manager/sales Executive and the distributor’ sales team, identify distribution, pouting and activation opportunities in the territory (Hunting)
- Negotiate pouring, distribution e activation agreements based on company guidelines.
Implementation Of Executional Standards
- Ensure that priority sales drivers for tequila brands, particularly Don Julio, are executed according to standards defined by customer marketing.
- Implement brand advocacy and education activities to be a true Tequila ambassador and spread the word for building this future trend.
- Supervise and measure in-outlet performance and execution levels accurately, utilizing CRM systems for monitoring.
Partnership
- Working in coordination with Sales execution and Distribution Manager/Executive of the territory to identify partnership opportunities with outlets served by wholesalers relevant for the RTC in the territory.
- Reporting line is to the Regional On Trade Manager
Portfolio: Tequila Brands, focus on Don Julio.
Customers: Cocktail bars, bars, night clubs, Hotel, restaurants.
About You
To be successful in the role you must have:
- Passionate about what you do, love the nightlife industry, strong social skills.
- Ability to own the budget and customer marketing plan efficiently.
- Will to win; you get up every day with the strive to beat your predefined targets.
- Commercial relationships: You need to be able to optimally influence Diageo customers to achieve win-win outcomes building long turn mutual profitable relationship.
- Executional demeanour: deliver vs predefined targets and pursue additional opportunities.
- Brand and Category Knowledge across Spirits with experience in process, ingredients, and trends. Bartending experience is a plus.
- Flexible communication style: Based on the type of buyer you need to be able to adapt to a most effective style.
- Willingness to work evenings and nights on a regular basis.
- 2-3 years of Sales Experience is a strong plus (On trade is the preferred channel)
- Proficiency in Spanish and sophisticated level of English.
