Job Description Summary
As a Global Sourcing Leader, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of all sourcing activities relating to Medical Devices and 3rd party servicing for the GE PDx business globally, with a focus on Injectors used in the delivery of contrast media products and related consumable spend.
The role will require a working partnership with Supply Chain, Product Management, Commercial and functional leadership teams to create, develop and deliver sourcing strategy for Injectors by region for the business globally, including supplier identification and selection, Request for Proposal (RFP) and Bid Defenses, negotiating contracts, supplier performance metrics, and supplier oversight/governance. This position will also be responsible for ensuring we maximize the value obtained from partnerships with our suppliers.

Roles and Responsibilities
- As an integral member of the PDx Sourcing team, will be responsible for developing and maintaining a lean and strategic approach to our supplier management for Medical devices and related consumables.
- Own of the supply base for PDx Medical devices, 3rd party servicing and related consumables in partnership with Product Management and the Regional Commercial leaders.
- Responsible to focus effort on Europe, Americas, LATAM in particular to support the growing and complex business models in the region
- Leading the development & execution of the sourcing strategies that delivers a competitive advantage driving the strategic supplier initiatives through input from Technical Operations, Product Management and Commercial Teams. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
- Responsible for ensuring the preferred supplier list is appropriate for the current and future business needs, identifying gaps and identifying suitable suppliers to address the business need both regionally and globally.
- Building deep relationships with strategic suppliers, driving early supplier engagement for both new strategic initiatives and NPI (New Product Introduction) requirements.
- Delivering in partnership with Technical teams, a detailed cost analysis of processes and materials used by our suppliers to ensure highest quality at the lowest cost solution (should-cost).
- Coordinates bid defenses and proposal review meetings and provides analysis to project teams
- Contract lifecycle management, managing contracts and change orders, including active negotiation of amendments, payment terms and budgets
- Works with Finance on budget/forecasting needs, cash flow, project budgets, etc.
- In partnership with the Quality and Supplier Quality organizations, ensures quality oversight of suppliers
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with external partners, ensuring ongoing feedback and issue escalation is performed where needed
- Measure’s supplier performance utilizing Scorecard/Metric activities; and communicating feedback to the supplier, encourage adaptation on best practices across supplier types and development of continuous process improvements/ maintenance
- Facilitates and executes supplier governance meetings and operating reviews
- Identifies current trends in practices in the industry and develops a strategy around these trends that is then well communicated to internal stakeholders and implemented
This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months.
Qualifications And Experience
- Substantial experience in Sourcing/Procurement within the medical devices sector or related industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, engineering or business administration with proven experience in commercial (sourcing, sales), supply chain.
- Languages skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese not necessary but, will be an advantage
- Strong business acumen and capacity to understand complex market dynamics (supplier/partner/customer relationships)
- Project management skills to execute complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Fast learner: ability to learn enough of a complex industry and products to interact with highly technical experts, commercial stakeholders and lead discussions, negotiations
- Inclusiveness: ability to partner, support and be included and influence plant decisions
- Proficiency in negotiating and executing commercial contracts.
