About The Role
The position is a secondment due to a parental leave that will last more than 6 months. This is a mixed financial role, working as a Business Partner for the On Trade channel in Spain and for the International Customers. This position will allow you to own the financial part of these two areas of the company:
- On Trade Business Partner
You will be leading key business process including Business Performance Management and Annual Operating Planning and as a trusted senior business partner, you will be providing sound commercial and analytical support to the commercial team and senior key collaborators. You will be encouraged to be able to identify value-enhancing opportunities through stepping out of purely “financial” agenda and add genuine commercial insight.
Drive Performance
- Drive understanding and focus on performance within the Commercial Teams. This would include orchestrating the strategic planning process and best view forecasting process for the business unit. Meeting regularly with those who have profit accountability, and ensuring that they have a clear understanding of what their P&L position is to date, why there are any variances to plan, and what can be done to get back to / further outperform plan.
- Taking a leadership role within the channel alongside the Sales Director to drive the overall customer and commercial strategy within the team.
- Drive holistic price / mix and gross margin improvements.
Improving Finance Capability Throughout Commercial Teams
- Development and presentation of financial tools, techniques and information that aid and improve the day to day decisions within the commercial teams.
- Improving Forecasting: advising on the impact of poor forecasts, giving tips and guidance, explaining how forecasting links in with Opps & Risks process.
Data Analysis And Reporting
- Bring data-led insights – crafting winning strategies and provoking phenomenal business outcomes
- Use of insightful analysis to identify business opportunities for the business unit, lead addressing them with the commercial team
- Stock in Trade analysis and reporting, and holding to account to sales teams to manage the business within the Commercial Policy of a sell out driven business..
- International Customers Business Partner
The purpose of this role is to provide financial leadership to the European commercial strategy agenda, by supporting plans to achieve optimization of international investment and monitoring pan-European negotiation. Also, to drive financial support across markets and to ensure smooth communication and update, while engaging with senior leadership and ensuring collaboration on course correction when needed.
In This Role You Will Also Lead: Customer invoice process control / Customer NIT reports / Cash forecast / Commercial support (incl. contract overviews, scenario analysis, meeting prep) / Setting up financial governance framework / Support Value creation work as negotiation preparation / Regular Updates to top management on progress made and status of the situation.
About You
Essential Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience Required / Languages
- 5+ years of experience in Finance roles. Business Partner experience is a strong plus
- Advanced Excel skills, Microstrategy (or similar), Power BI system knowledge
- Commercial experience / commercial mindset
- Able to demonstrate excellent relationship building and influencing skills
- Comfort with dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
- Languages: fluent Spanish and English
