Job Description:
The in-house legal counsel will be part of the General Counsel’s Office and will be based in Madrid. In this position you will work in cooperation with your colleagues in the Madrid, Amsterdam and USA offices, in-house lawyers from business divisions –based in various countries–, external advisors and colleagues from several corporate departments, such as the IT and Innovation departments.
Main Responsibilities
- You will provide legal advice on a wide range of topics with a focus on IT/IP and innovation related matters, including the preparation and negotiation of a variety of commercial agreements (MoUs, MSAs, SaaS, license agreements, etc.).
- You will advise and coordinate matters regarding trademarks, patents and internet domain names.
- You will advise on corporate law matters of several group subsidiaries.
- You will be involved in corporate and financial transactions and restructurings.
Requirements
- You are a qualified lawyer with at least 4-5 years of experience.
- You have solid knowledge of corporate and commercial law and relevant experience in IT/IP related contracts, gained in a reputable law firm and/or legal department of a multinational company, and you are capable of working with a considerable degree of autonomy.
- As important as your legal skills is your ability to bridge cultural differences. You are challenged by working frequently with colleagues abroad.
- You are fluent in both English and Spanish.
- You have a high level of energy, you are willing to learn on a continuous basis and you are used to working under pressure.
