Overview of the role
The Demand Management Officers are responsible for capturing all demand from the Entities. They help to categorise the demand and identify if a GO Product (s) is available, or a new solution is needed. They ensure relevant scoping is performed and pass the demand packages to the correct teams and they own the final proposals. The Demand Management Officer oversees the demand planning activities, ensuring resources are available, helping to manage conflicting priorities and ensuring funding is in place and approval to proceed. The Demand Management Officer owns the overall Demand Management process, monitors demands implementation progress and communicates with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand intake and scoping
- Capture and maintain a comprehensive overview of business demands within your scope (Country/Market).
- Ensure alignment of business needs and priorities with the overarching business strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers, Product Business Partners, Market Integration Experts, and Project Managers to assess the feasibility of existing products versus the need for new solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for scoping and engagement on demand, coordinating inputs from various stakeholders for non-standard requests.
Demand planning
- Manage the project portfolio for the entity, ensuring all demands are properly tracked and prioritized.
- Request necessary resources to meet demand effectively and efficiently.
- Assist in portfolio prioritization from the entity's perspective and resolve any competing or conflicting demands.
- Formally add significant demands to the Global project portfolio when warranted.
- Coordinate with GO Project Management for resource allocation; ensure funding is secured before advancing projects without an assigned Project Manager.
Delivery, monitoring an reporting
- Own the Demand Management Process for your Country/Market/Entity, ensuring compliance with defined steps.
- Monitor and report on the demand portfolio, ensuring efficient closure and providing critical updates to Market Heads, Account Managers, and Product Business Partners for relevant governance forums.
- Communicate any delays in product enhancements or feature requests back to the requestor promptly.
Your Profile
- Professional spoken and written English
- IT background
- Experience of working in a global organization
- Strong understanding of a group governance
- Strong understanding of financials, project and product processes.
- Strong understanding of demand management processes
