What we are looking for
We are seeking a strategic Vice President of Engineering to lead our Engineering team. Ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products, and developing strategies to drive innovation and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful project management.
Your main functions will consist in:
- Lead with vision: lead and manage the engineering team, providing mentorship and guidance to engineers to help us reach the next level of technical innovation in the mental health space.
- Set business aligned KPIs for your team and create strategies to meet them.
- Establish best practices for engineering processes that help us reach our goals and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Represent the engineering department in executive meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO- who you will report directly to -, CPO and CEO.
- Participate in C-level discussions to establish the Data / AI vision for the company and develop the best strategies for success in these areas.
- Mentor and coach Tech leaders to help them grow and excel in their roles.
- Represent the Tech team in meetings with executive leadership and communicate updates on product strategy, roadmap and performance.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 10+ years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position (engineering lead, Head of engineering, Engineering director…)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Full proficiency in Spanish and English, any other language being a plus.
- Strong knowledge of software development or relevant technical fields.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing SaaS products from concept to delivery.
- High analytical acumen with a strong business sense that guides ROI-based prioritization.
- Superior strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into development strategy.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Extensive experience with Agile product development process, best practices, tools and metrics that help with monitoring process’ effectiveness.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies.
