Objective of the position
Providing Azure Cloud expertise, implementation and operations support as part of the central team that is managing AXAs cloud platforms for Latin Amerika. Guiding and supporting DevOps teams "hands on" in deploying their applications to our managed Azure Cloud environment as well as our Kubernetes cluster. Work closely with global and local security, compliance, operations and finance teams to ensure safe and stable platform operations.
Main responsibilities
Supporting AXA insurance companies in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil migrating their business applications from their local datacenters to the public cloud (PaaS and IaaS), from application analysis to solution design to actual infrastructure implementation.
Enhance and operate a complex, hybrid cloud environment that is running thousands of applications all over the globe, together with experts from Mexico, Europe and the US
Build platform and deployment automation based on Azure DevOps, Terraform, Azure AppServices, Azure VMs and Kubernetes
Designing application and infrastructure architectures together with the local and global architecture and infrastructure teams
Responsible for integrating cloud environments with existing monitoring and backup/dr solutions, as well as onboarding new cloud services and platforms
Organizing and executing inhouse cloud training workshops, consulting development teams on cloud best practices, automation, cost optimization etc.
Working with local and global security and compliance teams to ensure safe and stable platform operations
Supporting finance teams by providing meaningful, near-realtime reports and managing PowerBI dashboards
Your Profile
Multiple years of experience working with Microsoft Azure, especially with Azure VMs, App Services, Azure Storage technolgoies, Azure Database PaaS services
Experience architecting and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments using Azure DevOps and ideally Terraform
Good knowledge on common development tools (Git, GitHub, Sonarqube, Confluence, Jira)
Proficient in at least one scripting language (python, node.js, bash, power shell or similar)
Good knowledge of Azure networking/load balancing technologies, e.g. Application Gateways, VPN, ExpressRoute, VNETs, subnetting, firewalls etc
Practical experience migrating applications from datacenter to the Azure cloud, including basic knowledge on database (cross) migration
Basic experience of cloud governance in an Enterprise environment (incl. user and subscription management)
Basic knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies and security automation
Excellent English language skills and willingness to work in an international setting
