Viva Aerobus is currently searching for Sustainability Reporting Manager based at CDMX or MTY.
This role is key to desing, set up and enable Viva's sustainability-related processes and disclossures. This role partners mainly with Finance, Operations, Strategy, Legal, Internal Audit, Quality and Safety, and People Directors and their data-controlling teams to manage sustainability-related metrics and performance, enabling internal control process for mandatory ESG statutory and voluntary reporting in compliance with all sustainability directives, frameworks and requirements from different regulatory bodies and multi-stakeholder reporting systems(i.e., CNBV, SEC, AFAC, ASA, SEMARNAT, California Air Resources Board, Banks, Investors, etc.). Therefore, this person must develop strong internal relationships with all business leaders and staff to ensure alignment with the overall sustainability strategy.
His or her primary objectives include:
- Internal and External Sustainability-related Assurance, Audits, Verifications, Certifications and Statutory Filing Processes:
- Develop science-based, data-driven and rigorous ESG-related analysis to nurture the corporate sustainability-related report and communications resources.
- Develop and set up Viva's sustainability reporting policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Align and map all sustainability-related and statutory disclosure and reporting obligations to ensure consistency and coherence (i.e. RENE, COA, CUE).
- Multi-Stakeholder Sustainability Reporting Strategy and ESG communication resource management.
- Sustainability Reporting Data Governance and Management Systems.
- Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting.
- Recommend actionable strategies for addressing current ESG-related disclosure issues and performance metrics across all Viva's functional areas.
- Accelerate data-oriented integration into Sustainability Reporting schemes making in the Sustainability team to be ready for standardize annual reporting obligations.
The Candidate:
Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with at least one Top 10 CSA S&P industry. Airline experience is a plus.
- 5+ years of ESG/sustainability-related experience.
- At least 2 years in Sustainability Lead and ESG Certifications positions.
- Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and standards (GRI, SASB, IFRS S1, S2, WEF, Global Compact COP, TCFD, ECOVADIS, CDP, TNFD). Certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with international sustainability-related financial reporting standards and financial management.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and diverse teams is required.
- Knowledge of sustainable finance, ESG taxonomies, financial accounting standards, and ESG rating methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with third-party ESG assurance providers and certification bodies is desirable.
- Understanding of Mexican and US stock trading and investment systems and related regulations is an advantage.
