Job Purpose:
DHL is seeking an experienced Sourcing Buyer to join the team in Mexico City. In this role, you will be responsible for the sourcing of Goods and Services from different categories (Corrugated & Carton materials, Plastic bags and envelopes, Pallets, Boxes, Protective Clothing, Office Supplies, Uniforms, Promotional Items, ) in close coordination with the relevant departments. Additional responsibilities and qualifications include:
Your tasks:
- Preparation and execution of difficult negotiations in an international environment, negotiation of savings, management of auctions and RfX
- Achieve maximum value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency of all procurement activities and ensure satisfaction by meeting/exceeding requirements in terms of quality, price and service, and ESG aspects
- Maintain and stablish relationship with major Business Partners.
- Contribute and execute clear regional cluster strategy of Packaging, Corporate Wear, Office Supplies based on the understanding of business partner requirements in alignment with global or regional category strategy.
- Ensure that global procurement process of sourcing and supporting tool set (for example, TCO evaluation) is applied.
- Provide detailed updates and collaborate as needed on the most important projects in the country.
- Act as country point of contact of supplier relationship and escalation, take on supplier development initiatives in alignment with global category strategy.
- Ensure active consultation towards Business Partners with cost optimization potential and execution.
- Support cross-region projects in alignment with Corporate Category Managers
- Lead sourcing activity in country for category, including sourcing strategy and negotiation design elements.
- Coordinate with legal and Business Partners to develop, review and execute supplier agreements with terms that preferred by DHL
- Hold overall responsibility of the quality of the work of category in country
- Be responsible for data management, including Category specific reporting and tool usage (GoSource, GoSave and GoAnalyze , …)
- Act as the country-level expert
- Drive improvements in supplier compliance in category/country ( purchasing, ESG & CSR)
Your Profile:
- 8+ years’ sourcing experience focused on indirect materials, MRO & Packaging working for large national or international company.
- Self-starter and high performer.
- Leadership skills: actively give feedback to country heads and teammates.
